Ruin (final stages in studio)

This “ancient ruin” is both sinister and self-consciously romantic, referencing uncensored folkloric fairy tales. It bears the mark of time but could also belong to a distant future. Cylindrical in shape, the building emerges out of the rubble like a monument to impermanence, addressing the relationship between creation and destruction in order to question the cost of progress. The weight of the structure makes it inaccessible and undesirable as a commodity, challenging the validity of the framework through which we assess value.
