My skin is white. In many Australian communities and cities it is inappropriate and insulting, yet often inevitable to think of Aboriginal peoples separately. But when we do give in and reflect, compare or judge, our feelings confound and confront us. Guilt, fear, indifference, awe, pathos, frustration but, most blatantly, confusion.
