Sake Sekei

Mirroring the female form, the surface treatments of these sake bottles are an exploration of body image and the ideals of 'beauty' in modern society. 'Sekei' is Japanese for surgery, and Barbara Kruger's iconic propaganda is referenced to call attention to the prominence of advertising in issues of public debate.
