Beautiful Series, 2006
The focal point of my artwork was based on the question, “What is beauty?”. I was driven to investigate this concept by the ongoing social mockery about the ways that people express their own unique beauty. I explored the work of artists in the advertising world that have chosen to express beauty in unique and profound ways. I appropriated Erwin Olaf’s personal photographs into my work to help me to articulate my concept of beauty.
