Artist Statement

Taking my inspiration from the wilds of nature, my practice aims to awaken the viewer to the beauties within it that are often overlooked.

My current work displays artificial natural objects, constructed to emphasize the global obsession with genetic modification. Explored here from the point of view of nature, this idea branches into almost every aspect of our lives. The food we eat, the flowers we admire, even human DNA. I am asking the question: Why do we feel the need to tailor everything? Is the beauty of nature not enough?
