Artist Statement
* (2011)
I see patterns everywhere I go. Geometrically, I love watching houses being constructed and seeing the patterns in their infrastructure and even the construction equipment such as cranes; but the patterns I appreciate the most occur naturally in the shapes of leaves. Their colours and internal designs are infinitely fascinating and instinctively they appear in my art as patterns that re-emerge again and again. My vision is that I create work that captures these natural and man-made patterns but also that I add a unique sense of unforced raw energy.
